David’s background isn’t in code — it’s in business. Before founding Excel Web Design in 2011, he spent years working as a business consultant, developing a specialism in what he calls ‘the digital flow’: mapping every process, handoff, and system within a business, stripping out unnecessary complexity, and then digitising what remains as cleanly as possible.

That discipline shapes everything Excel Web Design builds. Where most agencies start with a design brief, David starts with how a business actually operates — its people, its processes, its pain points — and works backwards to the technology.
